Water Slide World A Platform for Waterslide Sellers

Waterslide World was a medium-sized water park in upstate New York that included over 35 distinct water slides & activities. Guests could enjoy a large wave pool, an activity pool together with a water volleyball court, and 2 children’s pools. Guests could also enjoy an inner tube ride down the Amazon Adventure River.
In 1979, Waterslide-World opened on the site of a former drive-in movie theater. The waterpark was billed as the first in New York to feature a wave pool in 1984. A picnic area, souvenir shop, refreshments, locker, and inner tube rentals, as well as changing areas with showers, were all available at the waterpark.
Waterslide Rentals And Much More
With a selection of water slide rentals, a wave pool, a lazy river, and 2 play spaces: Pirate Ship Cove and Aruba-Scuba-Duba Bay, this family-owned park concentrated completely on water entertainment. Caribbean Cannonball and Calypso Cascade were two of the slides’ tropical names, with various adrenaline levels & heights. The tubes were free to use, parking was for free, and tourists were welcome to bring their own picnic meals. Then, what happened?
There will be no reopening of Water Slide World
Unfortunately, due to the tragic death of the owner, Gary Koncikowski, this historic water park was unable to operate for the 2018 season. His widow stated in 2019 that the waterpark will be closed permanently and that the equipment and land would be sold. Earlier, the family attempted to sell the park, but no one was interested.
The Koncikowskis has been in charge of the company for 39 years. Thousands of people visited the park every summer because of its 35 slides & attractions. Its long-running television commercial became an instant old song for anyone who happened to be near a television when it was broadcast. It was on the main strip of businesses, restaurants, and entertainment venues in the lively summer resort town, near the intersection of Routes 9 and 9L.
Don’t worry! Even if the water park has been shut down a few years ago, the website is now up, and it is becoming a social media and marketing platform for water slide sellers and water parks around the world!
